Camera Vision

The camera is the measurement platform—whether it is reading alignment targets, tire surfaces or a projected laser line.

Core Technology

See precisely. Measure repeatably.

Camera Vision combines calibrated cameras, optical targets, structured light, image processing and pattern recognition. In tread-depth scanning, a line laser projects geometry onto the tire while the camera observes and calculates the profile. The laser is an illumination method; the camera vision system performs the measurement.

1
Alignment imagingTrack target position and wheel geometry through calibrated camera measurement.
2
Laser-line imagingAnalyze the deformation of a projected line to reconstruct tread profile.
3
Pattern recognitionConvert visual information into repeatable measurements and technician guidance.

Where Camera Vision is used.

One umbrella technology supports alignment, tread-depth inspection and future visual tire-condition systems.
