Tire-grip clamping for common passenger-vehicle sizes.
The QC15 replaces a traditional rim-mounted wheel clamp with a three-point tire-sidewall grip. The clamp attaches to the outside of the tire rather than the rim, helping protect alloy, chrome, painted and refinished wheels.
It is designed for fast, repeatable target positioning in TreadPlus 9000 aligner workflows.
How it works.
The clamp seats on the tire sidewall, self-centers with a three-jaw mechanism, carries the alignment target, then releases after measurement without touching the rim face.
Traditional rim clamp
Rim clamps require direct contact with the wheel rim. That can create customer concern on wheels with delicate finishes or wheel covers.
QC15 tire-grip method
The clamp holds from the tire sidewall and keeps the rim surface untouched, while still allowing the alignment target to be used in the normal workflow.
