Our Story

TreadPlus was established in Canada in 2005. Earlier milestones on this page describe KJC Engineering in China, a separate company and long-term partner.

Two separate businesses

TreadPlus brand history and partner engineering history.

KJC Engineering China and KJC Engineering Canada Inc. are separately owned family businesses. TreadPlus is solely owned by KJC Engineering Canada Inc.; KJC Engineering China supports selected products as a manufacturing and technology partner.

1992

KJC partner history: Distribution foundation

KJC began operations as the Corghi distributor in China, establishing its roots in professional wheel-service equipment.

1994

KJC partner history: KJC registered in Beijing

KJC was officially registered in Beijing, China.

1999

KJC partner history: Wheel balancer manufacturing

KJC began developing and manufacturing wheel balancers.

2000

KJC partner history: Sun master distributor

KJC became the master distributor in China for Snap-on's Sun brand.

2001

KJC partner history: Conventional CCD alignment

KJC began developing and manufacturing conventional CCD wheel alignment systems.

2004

KJC partner history: International exports

KJC began exporting wheel-service equipment to international markets.

2005

TreadPlus established in Canada

KJC Engineering Canada Inc. established the TreadPlus automotive workshop equipment brand in Canada to support sales, distribution, training and technical service.

2009

First imaging alignment system

KJC built its first imaging wheel alignment system.

2017

Huairou factory

KJC moved its factory to Huairou, Beijing, expanding its engineering and manufacturing base.

2023

Tread depth inspection

KJC introduced its drive-over tread depth scanner, extending Camera Vision into automated tire inspection.

2026

New four-camera platform

KJC introduced a new four-camera alignment system and continued advancing Camera Vision, Smart Workshop and the TreadPlus product and technology portfolio.
